01 — Studio
Nº81 Studio is a multidisciplinary design studio that brings architecture, interior architecture, bespoke production and art together within a single creative process.
We bring together experience gained across different geographies with strong material knowledge, sensitivity to detail and disciplined execution.
We approach every project not with a ready-made design language, but through its own context, user and story. For us, good design is not only about how it looks; it is about how it feels, how it is made and how it lives over time.
02 — Founder & Creative Director
Asil Taşkınoğlu is an interior architect and the Founder & Creative Director of Nº81 Studio. Over fifteen years, he has led projects across the Middle East, Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia—from private residences to large-scale developments—guiding each from concept through execution.
Six years of practice in Dubai shaped an international approach grounded in cultural awareness, material knowledge and technical precision. His work has received two international design awards, while his wider experience spans creative direction, site delivery and bespoke production.
As co-founder of the art studio Huart, he has also developed a close understanding of how art, craft and architecture can be conceived together. Within Nº81, art is never treated as a final layer; it is part of the spatial story from the beginning.
We do not simply design spaces.
We create environments that give their stories a place to be experienced.
03 — Our Philosophy
We believe the character of a space is formed not by excess, but by the right relationship between proportion, material, light and detail.
We design spaces that are quiet yet powerful. Spaces that do not reveal themselves all at once, but deepen through use, movement and time.
We are more interested in permanence than trends.
We value the character of natural materials, the imperfections of good craftsmanship and the trace left by the maker. Every detail should have a reason, and every material a meaning that belongs to its place.
For us, luxury is not excess.
It is precision, material and restraint.
04 — Our Approach
We see a project not as a series of separate stages, but as one continuous design process.
From the first sketch to material selection, bespoke furniture and art; from construction details to final styling, every decision belongs to the same design idea.
We work closely with producers, craftspeople, artists and specialist teams so that the original intent is never lost in the making.
For us, design does not end at the drawing table.It is completed in the making.

06 — Bespoke by Nº81
Every project demands its own scale, material and detail.
Rather than assembling ready-made solutions, we develop furniture, fixed elements, custom surfaces and decorative details around the architecture, the way its users live and the character of the place.
Sometimes a piece of furniture. Sometimes a door handle. Sometimes a junction resolved to a few millimetres. For us, coherence begins exactly here.

07 — Art & Space
We do not see art as a decorative element placed after a space is complete.
Art is a spatial layer to be considered together with architecture, light, material and scale.
Through dialogue with artists and specialist makers, we develop project-specific works, objects and surfaces so that art becomes a natural part of the spatial story.
Not art placed in a space.
